Q. What happens if I lose or damage a book or other item?

Answer

If a book, DVD, CD, etc. is lost, damaged beyond repair, or has not been returned after 75 days of being overdue (21 days for DVDs) you will be charged a replacement fee for that item (in addition to any fines accrued if the item is overdue.)

The replacement fees are as follows:

  • Curriculum Library books, $25.00 / book.
  • Books, $50.00 / item.
  • Art books, $75.00 / book.
  • Videos (DVD & VHS) and audio materials (CDs, cassettes, LPs), $50.00 / item.
  • For more expensive items, cost plus $10 service charge.

If an item is damaged but can be repaired, you will be charged a fee for the repairs.

Please contact the Circulation department if you have any lost or damaged materials.
