How do I submit my work to Creative Matter?
Answer
Faculty, staff, and students can submit their scholarship and creative works into Creative Matter using a submission form. After submission, student work will need to be approved by the department or program before becoming available in the repository.
Steps for Submission
- Start at the Creative Matter submission page.
- Select the link for either faculty/staff submissions OR student submissions.
- Select the applicable department or program.
- Sign into Creative Matter using your Skidmore username/password.
- Fill out the form. There are certain fields like title, author, etc. that will be required.
- Skip any fields that don't apply to your work.
- Under the "Document Type" field of the form, you can choose the type of document you will be uploading and whether you'd like that document to be restricted. Restricted access means only those in the Skidmore community will be able to download a copy.
- Students will need to include the name of their advisor for the project.
- You'll also be able to select a Creative Commons license to dictate the usage of your work. There will be a link in the form to explain the different licensing options if you're unfamiliar with them.
- Upload the file of your work and any additional files (if applicable).
- Click submit.
You will now see your submission and can edit the form if necessary.
