What is Creative Commons?

Answer

While an author could relinquish rights to a work and allow it to enter the public domain, they may want to retain their rights but provide some allowances, so that others can use their works freely and without permission under certain circumstances.

The nonprofit organization Creative Commons provides different types of licensing that allow authors to do this.  Use the links below to learn more about Creative Commons and the different licensing that they provide.
