How do I request a book chapter that we don't own?
Answer
If the Library does not have access to the book chapter that you need, place a Book Chapter request using Interlibrary Loan. In most cases, the book chapter will be scanned and available electronically as a PDF in your ILL account within 1 to 3 days.
1. Log into your ILLiad account by typing your Skidmore username and password.
2. Choose "Book Chapter" under the New Requests menu.
3. Fill out the request form with the book title and chapter. Please include any additional information about the chapter if you have it. The more information supplied in the form, the faster ILL staff can process the request.
4. Click "Submit Request" on the bottom of the request form.
You will receive an email when the chapter is available in your ILL account under the "Electronically Received Articles" section on your account's main page.
