What are boolean operators?

Answer

Boolean Operators connect your search terms when conducting an advanced search in a catalog or database. There are three main operators.

AND - This will reduce the number of results, because it requires both terms appear in the search results.

OR - This will increase the number of results, because it only requires one of the terms appear in the search results.

NOT - This usually reduces results by excluding a term.
