Skidmore students have access to a free, professional account in Canva.  There are a limited number of faculty and staff accounts for Canva Pro.  Faculty and staff should contact Bill Bettermann at bbettermann@skidmore.edu to request an account.

Canva is a design tool that lets you create posters, presentations, social media posts, and much more with access to a very large image and media library and a whole host of design tools.

While Canva offers free accounts, having a professional account means you have access to a much larger assortment of image and digital content for a wider variety of uses and also access to specific design tools.

Setting Up a Free Student Canva Account

To set up your Canva account through Skidmore, you are going to sign into your Okta account.

 You should see a bunch of boxes with different applications including one for Canva. 

When you click on the Canva box, you should be taken through some steps to create a Canva account with your Skidmore email.  If you happen to already have a Canva account that uses your Skidmore email, you’ll be asked to join a Skidmore Team that will give you the Pro access.
