Generally speaking, Skidmore College does not have a supply of laptops for long-term student use. For students with financial aid, it may be possible to use loan funds toward a laptop. Please consult with the Financial Aid Office to see what your options are. Opportunity Program students and Davis UWC students may have other options available to them. OP students should check in with OP staff. Davis UWC students should check in with The Learning Commons.

All Skidmore students, faculty, and staff can borrow laptops at the Scribner Library Circulation Desk for one-week loan periods, convenient for those times when your own computer is getting repaired or you have left your laptop at your dorm and need it for class, for example. (Important: These computers reboot and erase each night so be sure to save your work to the cloud or a USB drive as often as possible while using a library laptop.) For more information, see here. 

In addition, you can always use the desktop computers on the first floor of Scribner Library for free as long as you need to while the building is open. Students can also make use of desktop computers with free printing in The Learning Commons in Starbuck Center.
